Looking for a fun, whole-body exercise you can do while enjoying nature? Maybe you have seen rowing teams compete in the Summer Olympics or other regatta coverage from time to time on ESPN or other sports channels and are intrigued. Many colleges and universities across the country support school teams. Many people discover rowing as adults. Here's your chance to find out why this life-long sport is so attractive to a variety of ages and skill level at a world-class venue.
The best part is that you can try it out with no previous rowing experience or get a refresher after not being out on the water for a while!
Our Learn-to-Row program is open to all ages 18 and up.
All classes meet at the Lake Lanier Rowing Club at the Lake Lanier Olympic Park venue in Gainesville, GA and are taught by experienced coaches from Lake Lanier Rowing Club.
Rowing is a fun water sport that most people can do. As with any fitness activity, it is the participant’s responsibility to be in good health before beginning. If in doubt, please check with your physician.
