Adult Program

ABOUT THE ADULT PROGRAM

Lake Lanier Rowing Club offers a continuum of programs for adults, beginning with Learn to Row classes.  Graduates then have access to further coaching to hone their rowing skills and participate with veteran Masters members at regular practice sessions.  As skills develop, rowing competitively with the Masters race team or continuing as a recreational rower are options.  In the off season, fitness sessions enable members to continue improving rowing technique as well as endurance and strength.  Coaches are experienced Learn to Row and Masters teachers and have completed US Rowing Coaching courses.

Adult Memberships

Lake Lanier Rowing Club offers general memberships year-round that provide 24/7 access to the boathouse and workout equipment, as well as to the club's boats. New members must either complete a Learn to Row class or complete an on-the-water check-out test to demonstrate their rowing ability.

General membership rowers are welcome at every recreational practice, which meets Wednesday at 6:15 pm  and Saturday at 8:00 am (weather permitting). Attendance is coordinated through the SportsEngine app.

Learn to Row Programs

Each year, multiple Learn to Row sessions are offered during the summer. These programs are for anyone over the age of 18 looking to learn how to row, improve their mobility and fitness, and make new friends.

Learn to Row classes begin with learning technique indoors, and then move to rowing in team boats and assisted singles. Rowing is adaptable for every level of physical ability, and our coaches and fellow club members are there every step of the way to help you feel more comfortable
